North State GIS

NorthStateGIS

NorthStateGIS (NSG) provides access to interactive maps and data for citizens and decision-makers in California’s 16-county Far North Region. In addition to providing useful and easy-to-use maps, NSG supports improved data consistency, coordination, and exchange among data providers. We also provide information on news, events, education, jobs and links related to the growing field of geographic information systems (GIS). NorthStateGIS is a project of the Far North Regional GIS Council (FNRGC), with funding and resource support from Shasta College and the Shasta Regional Transportation Agency (SRTA).

Since the late 1990s the Redding Area GIS Users Group (RAGU) has been meeting to promote the ideas of the GIS community.  With a relaxed and social atmosphere, RAGU meetings offer a sounding board for local GIS users, professionals, enthusiasts, students and those that know little of Geographic Information Systems to learn and share a myriad of GIS topics.  The group meets monthly after business hours on the third Tuesday of the month in various locations, and virtually.  Everyone is welcome to the meetings and reminder emails can be received by filling out our mailing list registration here: https://form.jotform.com/211998974073168.
