City of Redding - Water Utility

Ever wonder where your water comes from? This video follows the journey of water from its source, directly to your home or business. We are very lucky to have dedicated staff who are committed to providing exceptionally clean water to our community!

The Redding Water Utility is responsible to provide our customers with a reliable supply of high quality drinking water now and in the future. The Water Utility serves approximately 90,000 people within a service area of approximately 60 square miles. Our water quality not only meets Federal and State Standards each and every day of the year, but in most cases, contaminant levels fall far below published Primary and Secondary Standards. This means you, as the consumer, are assured of the safest water we can deliver to your tap.

The Water Utility consists of the following:
